Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the US and works as an American photographer and journalist. For more than forty-five years, she has concentrated her efforts on the reporting of human suffering, primarily during war and natural catastrophes. Curry reported on conflicts within Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry is a journalist, television anchorperson and reporter that was born on the 26th of June 1956. Curry's reporting was notable for its coverage of humanitarian crisis that occurred in war-torn countries and natural disasters. Curry's Japanese-American mother and U.S. Navy-sailor dad played prominent roles within Curry's personal life. They met during the time their father was in Japan following World War II. The family was frequently moving due to the service of her dad in the military. Curry finished highschool at Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated in 1978 with an undergraduate degree in journalism in the University of Oregon. Ashland is where she finally finished her high school. In Medford the following year, she began her broadcasting career at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. at the age of 22 she was the station's first female reporter. In the following years, she worked as an anchor/reporter at KGW at Portland Oregon. Four years later she moved in Los Angeles and became a reporter for KCBS TV. In her time with the channel she was awarded the award of two Emmy Awards.
